Mentoring Minority Males into Medicine Program

Program Description: The Mentoring Minority Males into Medicine Premedical Initiative is a collaboration between Dr. Vincent Schooler, Dr. Stephen Cockburn, the Greensboro Medical Society, and the N.C. A&T Pre-Professional Scholars Program (PPSP). The M4 Program provides unique mentoring opportunities, by African-American male physicians and researchers, for minority males at N.C. A&T interested in medicine. The ultimate goal of this program is to increase the number of Freshman & Sophomore minority males at N.C. A&T who are on track and positioned to pursue medical careers.
How to apply:
N.C. A&T students will apply directly to the N.C. A&T PPSP committee by completing an application below. Applications will be available early Fall semester of each year. Up to 10 students who meet the program criteria will be invited to participate.
Eligibility:
-Currently enrolled in N.C. A&T State University.
-Be a second semester freshman or first semester sophomore minority male
-Have at least an overall 2.8 GPA
-Be working toward admission to medical or dental school
